At Xpand IT, we are looking for a Software Engineering Lead to oversee the delivery of software development projects, combining leadership skills with strong technical expertise in Java.
Main responsabilities
As a Software Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, balancing technical requirements with team capacity.
Your focus will be to:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor software development projects based on Java technologies;
- Work closely with development teams, architects, and technical leads, ensuring the technical alignment of solutions;
- Participate in the definition and validation of technical solutions, contributing your knowledge of the Java ecosystem and modern architectures;
- Coordinate project development with the client;
- Proactively identify risks and roadblocks, driving their timely resolution;
- Promote development best practices, software quality, and continuous improvement of delivery processes.
Technology stack
Development:
- Java 8/11/17;
- Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security;
- REST APIs and microservices architectures;
- PostgreSQL, Oracle, or other relational databases.
Requirements
Academic background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Technical requirements and implementation
Ability to understand technical requirements and support architecture and implementation decisions.
Agile, Scrum, and project management
Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks, with experience managing scope, timelines, cost, quality, and risk.
Results orientation and adaptability
Results-oriented mindset, problem-solving skills, and decision-making ability, with the capacity to adapt in dynamic and technologically demanding environments.
Java development and distributed architecture
Previous experience in software development with Java or strong knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including distributed architectures, REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
Languages
Fluency in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.
Nive to have:
- PMP, PSM, or equivalent certification;
- Experience in projects based on cloud architectures, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes;
- Experience in technology consulting and managing distributed teams.
