Elevate your career as an Atlassian Technical Consultant at Xpand IT, providing operational support in Jira and Confluence apps.

Your role

  • Meet with clients to understand business rules and translate them to functional and technical requirements;
  • Participate in requirement specifications, design deliverables, sprint planning, review and retrospectives;
  • Configure and customize software on Atlassian’s platforms such as Jira, Confluence or Jira Service Management;
  • Participate in the development of solutions and execute testing, training and documentation using industries’ and Atlassian’s best practices;
  • Search for apps and plugins from Atlassian partners that can accelerate the development and implementation of several user stories or improvements;
  • Operational support of all Atlassian applicational systems;
  • Coordinate and assist software upgrades for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Service Management;
  • Resolve application performance and related problems on Atlassian stack;
  • Apply built-in customization and third-party add-ons to extend Jira / Confluence functionality as needed, verifying dependencies and restrictions;
  • Handle service ticket queues to ensure timely resolution for end-user issues.

Job requirements

Technical training and programming knowledge

Technical training in IT, with knowledge of programming languages such as Java and/or JavaScript.

Web services knowledge

Experience with web services, including REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to identify and solve root problems, considering the broader context of tool usage and performance.

Communication and requirements understanding

Verbal and written communication skills to work with the team in gathering and translating business requirements into JIRA/Confluence solutions.

Priority management and meeting deadlines

Ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet strict deadlines.

Languages

Fluency in English, spoken and written.

Pontos extra:

  • MSc / BSc in Informatics Engineering or similar;
  • User experience with Git and Atlassian tools;
  • Knowledge of Windows / *nix systems administration
